The Bhakra-Nangal Dam is one of India's earliest and largest multipurpose river valley projects, constructed on the Sutlej River near Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. The reservoir created by the dam is known as the Gobind Sagar lake.
The Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) is an inter-state anicut constructed across the Tungabhadra River. It provides irrigation water to parts of Karnataka (Raichur district) and Telangana (Jogulamba Gadwal district).
